What is a Forklift Carriage?
The carriage is a fundamental component of a forklift, serving as the platform to which the forks or other front attachments are affixed. It plays a pivotal role in the operation of the forklift by supporting and moving the load. Positioned at the front of the forklift and attached to the mast, the carriage moves up and down along the mast rails, enabling the lifting and lowering of loads.
In addition to holding the forks, the carriage often supports the load backrest and other specific forklift attachments. The carriage’s design allows it to be controlled by the mast, facilitating the transport of goods in various industrial settings.
